Cheerful Chocolate Cake
Why cheerful, you might ask? Because it is easy, contains dark chocolate (which makes you cheerful), contains cocoa (which scientists have proved that makes you even more cheerful) and last but not least, it is made in no time at all.
Here are the necessary products that can easily be found in any fridge:
- 2.5 oz (75 g) dark chocolate
- 3.5 oz (100 g) butter
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 6 oz (175 g) self-raising flour
- 1 oz (25 g) cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 5 fl oz (150 ml) milk
I won’t waste your time with lengthy descriptions, that’s why, simply follow the five steps:
- Place the chocolate, butter, sugar, and syrup in a thick bottomed pan and melt them over a low heat.
- Take off the heat, then add the sieved flour and cocoa powder to the melted chocolate mixture.
- Add the egg and milk, and beat until light and fluffy.
- Place the substance in a greased tin and cook it at 340 FВ° (170 CВ°) / gas mark 3 for 35-40 minutes.
- Top the cake with melted chocolate or icing and you can consider this cheerful chocolate cake done.
